We at Ayrshire Cleaners are a member of the UK Cleaners Community a group of Professional House Cleaners who help each other out with advice, tips and tricks of the trade and we usually support each other when things get us down.
Recently we at Ayrshire Cleaners posted our from now until Christmas Special Offer on Facebook and on Twitter where we have reduced our prices to allow our clients and future clients to save some money over the Holiday Season which already hits pockets hard.
Anyway the next thing that we know we are being blasted by the community and told that we are the damaging the cleaning Industry.
Some quotes will leave out the names so as not to upset them further.
"Seriously this is just plain working for nothing at these prices!!! Does this normally happen in Scotland?"
"Prime example of a business that is destroying an industry"
"These people make my blood boil !!!!"
"Deep clean 5 bedroom house 220 sqm = 700 quid here in Norway (7000 kroners)"
"That whole house rate is about what I earn per hour on an EOT/ deep clean!! And I only work on rentals so don't have to 'tidy toys' or 'change bedding' !!"
They don't just attack us, the attack our clients too.
"There are 2 types of customers,
1. People wanting the cheapest possible and don't really care about the service, these people tend to want something for nothing and normally decline a professional quote, these customers tend to be too lazy to do anything them selves and don't really have much pride of how they live.
2. Professional individuals and other small businesses owners that can afford and want a professional service they can trust with consistency, and are very happy to pay for the service they require after all these customers tend to have knowledge in business and understands how other businesses operates"
This in the words of one of those above "Makes my blood boil" how can a Professional in any industry be trusted if this is how they think about their clients?
We were offered some advice from some in the community to up our prices so that we can make a "decent income".
Ayrshire Cleaners are not greedy, we make a living wage and we stand by the prices that we charge, we never judge our clients and we would never rip them off by charging over inflated prices.
We provide a professional service at a price that people can afford and we are proud to serve the Ayrshire Community.
